DONALD DAVID BAKER, known by his family and friends as David or "Dog " Baker left this Earth on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Born July 7, 1937, in Las Vegas, NV, he was a man with a million friends, an unforgettable grin, few words and a big heart. His family moved back to Barker, Texas at an early age and he graduated from Katy High School in 1956. David was a member of the Houston Police Retired Officers Association, a Vice President of the International Police Association, Gulf Coast Chapter Region 36, and a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and had worked the Rodeo for more than forty years. The last thirty years he worked with Star Security where he formed lifelong friendships with entertainers like The Judds, Larry Gatlin, Martina McBride, Willie Nelson and his dear friend Charlie Pride. David's sweet spirit and loving personality will be greatly missed by his beloved family members: his devoted wife, Lyn Baker; mother, Anna Baker; daughter, Debra Larsen; son, Bruce Baker and his wife Terrie; grandchildren, Heather Anderson and her husband, Roger; Kristi Baker, Cameron Baker, Hayden Baker and Riley Baker; brothers Alva Baker and his wife Charlotte, Bill Baker and his wife Joyce; sister Linda Rasbury and her husband Guinn; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews plus countless friends.
